Dada Saheb Phalke, known as the father of the Indian film industry, celebrates his birthday on April 30 with the annual International Film Festival. Accordingly, the 12th Dada Saheb Phalke International Film Festival was held in the capital Delhi. At the festival, actor Surya’s film ”JaiBhim” won 2 awards.
The movie JaiBhim directed by Gnanavel, was released on Amazon Prime OTT site on November 2 last year, just before Diwali. The film was produced by Jyotika-Surya’s 2D Entertainment. Surya played the lead role. Despite some controversy, the film was well received by fans. In this regard, JaiBhim has been selected as the best film at the Dada Saheb Phalke International Film Festival.
Similarly, Manikandan was selected as the Best Supporting Actor for his outstanding performance in the role of Rasa Kannu, who was caught by the police for a crime that he did not commit in the film. Surya’s 2D Entertainment has happily announced this on its Twitter page.
