Yesterday, the #Suriya42 team held a pooja launch in the city to officially launch the movie. But the shooting will start in Chennai tomorrow. Gnanavel Raja, the movie’s supporter, claims: “About ten days into the Chennai schedule, we’ll leave for Goa in the middle of September. There, we’ll film for nearly 25 days.”
The film is being made as a pan-Indian feature. In addition to Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, and Oriya, he adds, “We will be releasing it in 10 languages.”
Disha Patani, who will be making her south debut with the Telugu film Project K, is reportedly in talks to play the female lead, and Devi Sri Prasad, who previously worked with Suriya on the soundtracks for Siva’s Veeram and the Mayavi, Aaru, and Singam franchises, is reportedly reuniting with the duo for this project. Gnanavel, however, keeps quiet about the movie’s cast and crew. All he will say is that “we will be releasing the motion poster next week, and also be making formal announcements soon.”
Suriya will simultaneously be working on Bala’s Vanangaan, in which he plays a character who is deaf and hard of hearing.
