Ponkumar, who is directing the film, has been a co-director for a long time with director Murugadoss.
Debutant Revathy Sharma has been signed as the heroine in this historical film. The film tells the story of a brave warrior fighting with British forces in a village during Indian independence. The film is being shot in beautiful parts of Tamil Nadu and is in the final stages of post-production. Commenting on the film, producer A.R. Murugadoss said, “1947- August 16 A heartfelt honest story. The mind-bogglingly wonderful creation has compelled the story itself to create this story. Once you see this picture, it will stay in your mind forever. ”
