‘Dhruva Natchathiram‘, starring Chiyaan Vikram and directed by Gautham Menon, was supposed to hit theaters on November 24 but has been rescheduled once more. For the last six years, the movie has struggled financially. Director Gautham Menon has released a statement at this hour regarding the film’s inability to be released. He said in his statement that it will take one or two days to resolve the money problems.
In a message released on November 24, filmmaker Gautham Menon expressed his regret to the audience for the delayed film’s release. He said, “I apologize. Dhruva Natchathiram couldn’t be shown on screens today. We gave it our all. However, it appears we’ll need another day or two. We want everyone to have a positive experience with reservations made in advance and appropriate screens everywhere they go (sic).”
Gautham Menon was upbeat and assured that the problems would be resolved in a few days. The wonderful reception the movie has received has motivated us to keep going. We’ll come (sic) in a few more days,” he said.
Due to the release of “Dhruva Natchathiram,” Gautham Menon and his group have been hit with two cases. The Madras High Court had mandated that Menon reimburse All In Pictures for Rs 2 crore in order for his movie to be released before 10.30 am on November 24. It appears that the director was unable to pay.
The interested parties will now meet several times today and tomorrow in order to reach a decision that will determine when the movie will be released.
