In response to a question about how he would feel if the movie didn’t do well at the box office, Vijay Deverakonda said, “The audience is important; we work for them.”
Vijay Deverakonda is going all out to promote his upcoming Liger, an Indian film for the entire country. To spread the word about his movie, the actor has been traveling to different cities, meeting with fans every day, attending press events, and giving interviews to journalists. Ananya Panday and Vijay Deverakonda recently visited the capital city to promote the movie Liger, which opens in theatres on August 25.
When asked how he would respond if the movie didn’t perform well at the box office during the press conference in Delhi, Vijay Deverakonda responded in Hindi by saying, “A few years ago, if you had asked me this question, I would have responded angrily. I’d have been furious. However, it would be disrespectful to the kind of love I have experienced recently if I reacted angrily to such trivial things in my environment. I want to keep love in mind. The audience is significant; we strive to please them, and we travel to different cities just to meet them.”
On Monday, Vijay claimed that he had personally overcome a number of obstacles in his career and personal life in order to get to the position he is in today. He added that he is confident that his upcoming movie Liger, which was made with a lot of love and labor, will be well received by the public.
“I don’t know a lot, but speaking from personal experience and opinion, I think life has taught me how to be a fighter. When I was younger, I had to struggle to earn respect and money; as I got older, I had to struggle to find my place in the field and even find employment. For me, each movie felt like a difficult battle “Vijay said.
Added he, “I made my first movie for free because we couldn’t find a producer to finance it; we had to raise money to pay for the film’s production costs. I had no standing in the field at the time. We encountered opposition before my third movie, Arjun Reddy, even opened in theatres. However, it was a success at the box office, and thanks to my role in the movie, I am now well-known. Even after that, a movie of mine leaked online prior to going into theatres, but when it did, I received a lot of positive feedback.”
In reference to Liger, he stated, “We anticipated some drama with Liger, but we’ll fight. We have poured our hearts into this movie. And I’m confident that I’m right. In my opinion, there is no room for fear. I didn’t fear when I had nothing, and I don’t believe that fear is necessary even now that I have accomplished something.”
He concluded saying, “Maa ka aashirwaad hai, Logon ka pyaar hai, Bhagwaan ka haath hai, andar aag hai, Kaun rokenge dekh lenge!”
