Even weeks after its theatrical debut, James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water is still in the news. Additionally, the filmmaker hinted that Avatar 5 may be on the horizon. Producer Jon Landau revealed some intriguing information about the Na’vi planet in the follow-up in a recent interview. In relation to Avatar 3 and its relationship to Charlie Chaplin, Jon Landau reveals some details.
Avatar 3 will include a new race of Na’vi, who would play adversaries in the film, producer Jon Landau said in a recent interview with Empire magazine. Oona Chaplin, Charlie Chaplin’s granddaughter and a former Game of Thrones cast member, will portray Varang, the leader of this race of people known as the Ash People, who Empire characterised as a “aggressive and volcanic” tribe.
There are nice humans and there are wicked humans, Landau observed in reference to the same. The Na’vi side experiences the same issue. People frequently do not view themselves negatively. What is the fundamental reason why they develop into what we consider to be negative? Perhaps there are other things involved.
Oona Chaplin on James Cameron and Avatar
Although Oona Chaplin’s involvement in Avatar 3 has long been rumoured, this is the first time an official confirmation of her involvement has been made. As a result of James Cameron’s use of high-profile filmmaking to examine significant topics like people’s connections with one another, nature, the spirit world, and oneself, Oona Chaplin in 2018 referred to the movie Avatar as “Trojan horse cinema.”
Avatar 4 will have a significant change that will prepare the audience for Avatar 5, which Landau stated will be largely set on Earth.
On December 16, 2022, Avatar: The Way of Water was made available in theatres.
