Kate Winslet has teamed up with Titanic director James Cameron again after 26 years to create something as big as the much-anticipated Avatar sequel. Titled Avatar: The Way of Water, Kate will play Navi warrior Ronal in the film, who appears as the blue alien skin like never before. The film is scheduled to release in theaters on 16 December 2022.
The cover of the special avatar edition of Empire magazine featured Kate Winslet as Ronald. He looks fierce with sharp fangs and big eyes as he yells at someone with anger written big on his forehead. Unlike Neytiri’s braided look, she looks slightly different from Avatar’s Neytiri (Zoe Saldana). Avatar:The Way of Water follows the events of the 2009 film Avatar. The film stars Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), Neytiri (Zoe Saldana), Colonel Miles Quaritch (Stephen Long) and Dr. Grace Augustine (Sigourney Weaver).
Kate, who has been in contact with James Cameron since the great 1997 film Titanic, played a very different role in Avatar. She had a different role in Avatar. For that, she doesn’t need to float but needs to go underwater. She said her longest stay underwater was “seven minutes and 14 seconds” and added that the most amazing thing for me as a middle-aged woman is that not only new, but superhuman.
