“I will never act in Hindi movies. Because Bollywood can’t give me a decent salary” said Telugu actor Mahesh Babu.
Once upon a time, Hindi films made in Bollywood were dubbed and released in various languages across the country. But over the last few years, South Indian language films, including Telugu and Kannada, have been released all over India and become huge hits.
The trailer release ceremony of Telugu lead actor Mahesh Babu’s next film ”Major” was held in Hyderabad yesterday.
Mahesh Babu said:
“The growth of Telugu cinema has really amazed me. As Telugu films have been released across the country and received great acclaim, one of the words that was once defined as Indian films is being worn today. I firmly believe that my strength is acting in Telugu films. I have no desire to become a Pan India star. My wish is that the Telugu films I have acted in and other films should be enjoyed all over the country. Today it is being fulfilled.
I get a lot of opportunities to act in Hindi movies everyday. But I will never act in Hindi. Because Bollywood can’t give me a decent salary. So I don’t want to waste my time acting in Hindi films” he said.
