Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is an American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Doctor Strange. Produced by Marvel Studios. Distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, it is the sequel to Doctor Strange (2016) and the 28th film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film is directed by Sam Raimi, written by Michael Waldron. The film stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Stephen Strange, alongside Elizabeth Olsen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Rachel McAdams. In the film, Strange and his allies travel into the multiverse to face a mysterious new adversary.
To reclaim a world where everything is changing, Strange enlists the help of his partner Wong, the sorcerer Supreme and the Avengers most powerful Scarlet Witch, Wanda. But there is a terrible threat to humanity and the entire universe. It cannot be done by their power alone. Even more surprising is that the biggest threat to the universe is just like Dr. Strange.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness held its world premiere at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on 02 May 2022. The film is set to be released in the United Kingdom on 05 May 2022. In the United States the film will be released on 06 May 2022 in 4DX, RealD 3D, IMAX, Dolby Cinema, ScreenX, and Superscreen.
