Famous legendary villain actor Salim Ahmad Ghouse passed away today due to ill health. He is 70 years old. Salim Ghouse was born on 10 January 1952 and raised in Chennai. He studied at the Christchurch School and the Presidency College in Chennai. He was also a graduate of the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. He started his career as a playwright and later directed plays.

Also, actor Salim has played the roles of Rama, Krishna and Tipu Sultan in the TV series. Salim made his student debut in the 1978 Hindi film ‘Swarg Narak’ and has since acted in minor roles in Hindi and English films.

In 1989, he portrayed the villain in the Tamil film, Vettri Vizhaa, directed by Pratap Pothen as the rival to Kamal Haasan. He starred alongside Mohanlal in the classic Malayalam movie, Thazhvaram, directed by Bharathan. In 1993 he did a villain role in Mani Ratnam’s film Thiruda Thiruda and also acted alongside Madhuri Dixit and Shahrukh Khan in the 1997 film Koyla. In 2009 he acted in Vettaikaran. In Vettaikaran film he played the role as Vedhanayagam. In that film he lived as Vedhanayagam. His famous dialogue was “Vedhanayagam, Vedhanayagam na Bayam”. He also acted in films like Maharaja, Soldier.

He also acted in Chinna Gounder, Makudam, Senthamizh Pattu, Dharmaseelan, Red, Chanakya films as villain role.
Apart from Tamil, he has acted in films including Malayalam, Telugu and Hindi and last acted in Andrea’s thriller movie ”Ka”. The film is yet to be released. He has also spoken on dubbing for films including ‘‘The Lion King’’, ‘’Freedom’’ and ‘’300’’. In this condition, he is 70 years old and died due to ill health. Celebrities and fans have expressed their deepest condolences for his death.
