Opening April 21, the film stars the actor as an Army sergeant trying to find the interpreter who saved his life. Jake Gyllenhaal, Antony Starr, Dar Salim, Alexander Ludwig, Emily Beecham, and more actors may be seen in Guy Ritchie’s film The Covenant. The movie will hit theatres in April 2023.
You will undoubtedly cry a little bit when you catch a peek of The Covenant. Jake Gyllenhaal plays a sergeant in this action-war movie who is partnered with Ahmed, a native interpreter. During the Afghan War, Ahmed puts his life in danger in order to carry a wounded John through treacherous terrain to safety. Later, when Ahmed and his family are in danger, John must decide whether to repay the favour or not to step in.

Ritchie co-wrote the screenplay with Marn Davies and Ivan Atkinson under the working title The Interpreter. Along with Atkinson, Josh Berger, John Friedberg, and Ritchie, they produce.
Gyllenhaal recently voiced a character in Don Hall’s Disney animated film Strange World and appeared in Michael Bay’s Ambulance, both of which were released last year. Prior to this, he addressed military themes in the movies Jarhead (2005) and Source Code (2011).
