Who is Raveena Tandon?
Raveena Tandon is an Indian actress, model and Producer who works in Hindi films. She is the daughter of director Ravi Tandon. Born and raised in Mumbai. She started her career as a model. Later made her acting debut in the action film Patthar Ke Phool(1991), which won her the Filmfare Award for New Face of the Year. She has worked in Bollywood, Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada cinemas.
In 1994, Tandon starred in the box-office hit action dramas Dilwale and Mohra. Her performance in the drama Laadla(1994) earned her a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress. Her other notable film of the year was Andaz Apna Apna. Her films released in this period included the box-office successes Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi(1996), Ziddi(1997) and Ghulam-E-Mustafa(1997). She was also acted in Alavandaan(2001) tamil movie alongwith actor Kamal Hasan. In 2022, Raveena Tandon acted in K.G.F:Chapter 2 alongside Yash and Sanjay Dutt
In 2012 she appeared as a host on the TV show Isi Ka Naam Zindagi on NDTV. Tandon adopted two girls, Pooja and Chhaya, as a single mother in 1995. She married film distributor Anil Thadani on 22 February 2004. The couple have two children – Rasha and Ranbirvardhan. Tandon is also an environmentalist and has worked with PETA since 2002.
