The new ‘Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania’ trailer is here and it is set to usher in a new dynasty – The Kang Dynasty.
The new teaser, which was released online just one month before the movie opens in theatres on February 17, provides us a general idea of what to expect in this heroic drama. It appears that the third instalment of the saga, “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty,” which is scheduled for release in 2025, may merely be the next chapter in the events building up to Paul Rudd’s return as Ant-Man aka Scott Lang.
In the latest clip, Scott travels to the quantum world where he encounters Jonathan Majors’ Kang the Conqueror. According to reports, “Quantumania” takes place after the events of the 2021 Disney+ series “Loki,” which starred Majors as He Who Remains, whose demise causes the multiverse chronology to branch.
Kang replies, “I’m the one who can provide you the one thing you want,” when the adversary asks who he is.
“What’s that?” Scott asks.
“Time,” Kang replies.
He can re-write existence and destroy timelines, Janet Van Dyne warns Scott in the teaser as she implores him not to accept Kang’s offer.
A voiceover in the video of Kang frightening Scott with the end of all he refers to as life is also interestingly included.
In addition to Kang, the film also features the emergence of MODOK, played by Corey Stoll. After appearing to pass away in the last seconds of the original Ant-Man, the villain from the Marvel Cinematic Universe is finally introduced to audiences in the teaser. The MODOK design was already made public with the Quantumania toy announcement, but this footage gives the character his or her first appearance.
The franchise, which is helmed by Peyton Reed, also features Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, and Michelle Pfeiffer.
