Thalapathy 66 is a family Entertainer film directed by Vamshi Paidipally. Story co-written with Hari and Ahishor Solomon. Produced by Dil Raju and Sirish under Sri Venkateswara Creations. The film stars Vijay, Rashmika Mandanna, Prakash Raj, R. Sarathkumar, Shaam, Yogi Babu,Prabhu, Jayasudha, Srikanth, Sangeetha Krish, Samyuktha, Shanmughanathan and Khushbu. The music is composed by Thaman S in his first collaboration with Vijay.
The film is planned to release in theatres in January 2023 on the occasion of Pongal. Huge sets have been put up in Hyderabad for the shooting of the film. The makers of the film Thalapathy 66 are in major shock as shooting spot pictures featuring Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna are going viral on social media. Director Vamshi Paidipally is upset and is planning to impose a new rule “no mobile phone” on the shooting sets to avoid further leaks.
