Forgiven takes place over a weekend in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco and explores the repercussions of the random crash on the lives of both locals and Western visitors.
The Forgiven had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on 11 September 2021. It is scheduled to be released in the United States on 01 July 2022 by Roadside Attractions and Vertical Entertainment. It will release in the United Kingdom on 02 September 2022 by Focus Features and Universal Pictures.
