The movie “The Warrior” is released under the direction of Lingusamy. One of the leading Telugu actors Ram Pothineni is playing the lead role in this movie and actress Krithi Shetty is playing the lead role.
Guru(Aadhi Pinisetty) who are known to be crawling in Madurai, cut a man down in the middle of the road. Dr. Sathya (Ram Pothineni) takes him to the hospital and saves him. Knowing this, the Guru’s men put the victim inside the hospital and kill the victim. Sathya goes to the top of the cave and seeks the help of the police. There too he is rewarded with failure, so he gives up the profession of a doctor and wears a police dress. In the end, whether his mission as a police officer was fulfilled? How he tamed the Guru’s sting? The rest of the story is what happens to the love of Mahalakshmi (Krithi Shetty) who steps in between.
Ram Pothineni, a popular actor in Telugu, has played the role of a policeman in his debut film in Tamil. The film was directed by Lingusamy after 4 years, so there was a lot of anticipation among the fans. But the director has failed to fullfill the audience expectations.
Ram, who comes as a soft spoken doctor in the first half, plays the role of a policeman in the second half of the film. He could have given a more mature performance. Some of his reactions make us cringe rather than amuse.
Krithi Shetty’s romance and cuteness are some consolation. Devi Sri Prasad’s music is supporting the film. The much awaited Bullet Song has lived up to the expectations. Ram, Krithi Shetty’s chemistry is danzoom jump. The background score is not upto the notch.
Action and emotions are the major strengths of Lingusamy’s films. But this film has neither actions nor emotions. The film is not only shot in Telugu but some scenes have also been shot in Tamil. Directed after a long gap, Lingusamy brings the feel of a Telugu film in many places. Most of the scenes have been placed to attract the Telugu fans. But for the tamil fans – it’s a big question mark?
