Actor Vijay Sethupathi has been involved in social service work beyond cinema. In 2019, he started a charity called the Vallar Employment Service Movement. He hires employees for it and pays employees.
The toll-free employment agency has received numerous calls from job seekers and job placement companies in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry. According to Vijay Sethupathi, 1 lakh 133 people have so far benefited from the employment service movement.
The organization has created 73 self-employed people and also conducting job placement camps for final year students studying in college. It runs 17 placement camps alone and 3 camps jointly with the government. Vijay Sethupathi’s effort has been highly praised by his fellow actors and fans.
