Following Malavika Mohanan’s second mention of Nayanthara and the label given to her as a “woman superstar,” the verbal battle proceeded in an oblique manner.
Even though Nayanthara doesn’t use social media, she is aware of all the positive and negative commentary about her across all platforms. How can a person be dying with your lipstick in place, even if it’s a commercial movie (where) you have to be a bit nice, you have to be a little realistic, right?,” Malavika Mohanan allegedly said in one of the interviews about Nayanthara’s hospital scene from a movie.
Later, Nayanthara brought up the subject in an interview for her most recent movie Connect, and without mentioning Malavika, she said, “I just witnessed an interview with another heroine. Though she didn’t ask for my name, she made a hint. She claimed to have seen me in a medical setting, dressed appropriately down to my hairstyle. How could someone be so way in a medical setting, she wondered. In a medical setting, I’m not suggesting one should be prim and proper, but it doesn’t mean one should have unruly hair. There will be someone to look after you, and they will undoubtedly tie your hair back.”
Malavika Mohanan maintained her veiled criticism of Nayanthara and the label bestowed upon her as a “woman superstar” in the ongoing indirect argument. Malavika stated, “I don’t like the term (superstar). Actors can be referred to as superstars, but I don’t (understand) what is a lady superstar. You don’t need the “lady” tag. Superstar is enough.
Fans of Nayanthara are outraged at Master fame Malavika’s remarks on her. The actress is receiving abuse for repeatedly making fun of Nayan. Malavika Mohanan chose to clarify her ‘woman superstar’ statement after doing the same.
